TwitFS is the easy way to share files and media on Twitter.

TwitFS (twitter file sharing) is proud to announce the public beta launch of TwitFS.com.

Unlike other methods used to send and receive large files over the internet, with just a few clicks, TwitFS allows you to upload and easily send one or more files to friends, family, or co-workers. You are now able to send these larger files via a private “DM” (direct message) with another Twitter user or publish to your public Twitter timeline. You can also send a file via email by copy and pasting a file’s short-url link.

Powered by a combination of Amazon EC2 cloud computing, Amazon S3 storage, and the TwitFS Private Cloud, TwitFS resources keep services always online and reliable.

TwitFS brings the “cloud” to the individual Twitter user in several service options. Advertising based, Free and Basic service options utilize remote storage and caching for file delivery. Premium subscribers have the ability to manage files through the TwitFS control panel while utilizing Amazon S3 storage and transfer on a per-gigabyte basis.

Scheduled for beta release in Q2, the TwitFS API allows Twitter client developers to leverage simple remote storage services and monetize Twitter application usage. TwitFS provides third-party applications the ability to upload images and other files directly to TwitFS and share in revenue earned from advertising and premium account sales. Follow @TwitFSAPI on Twitter for important API related updates to join our closed beta test.

TwitFS is committed to making its users and developer’s lives easier. Through the use of Twitter and GetSatisfaction.com, TwitFS users can see how TwitFS works and what improvements we are making in real-time to its infrastructure.

Follow @TwitFS for general TwitFS updates.
