TwitFS is serious about the internet, technology and ... bandwidth. When we say serious, we mean - serious. Twit-serious. (Of course we're serious about Twitter too @TwitFS)
In order to keep your files online, all the time, and to prevent us from constantly worrying about setting up new servers, adding storage capacity, or rebooting crashed machines, TwitFS leverages "cloud computing."
The TwitFS Cloud is made up of Amazon EC2 and S3 Web Services (AWS) along with the TwitFS Private Cloud that provides low-cost content delivery caching and host virtualization.
By outsourcing criticial services, TwitFS has the ability to instantly scale core CPU and storage resources, on demand "elastically" - and of course run more green with a smaller carbon footprint.
Cloud computing allows TwitFS to stay online, all the time - and fast!
Watching from high up in the "cloud," the big brother (eye-in-the-sky), Pingdom.com monitors TwitFS's each and every move. From 12 worldwide locations Pingdom alerts us of any interruption of service.
In the event of a service interruption, Pingdom automatically creates a support request for the TwitFS Support Team.
